First off, we are honored present the launch and screening of PiuPiu’s very first documentary, a brief look into the most prolific Artists of the Montreal experimental beat scene, an initiative set forth by of our Piupiu Embassador Aîsha Cariotte Vertus, who directed the 15 minute film in collaboration with our good friends at MusicIsMySanctuary.com. Duly called “Piu Piu Documentary”, here is the fresh new trailer:

S’il faut de la perspective pour disposer des images sur une musique, imaginez-vous qu’il en fasse tout autant pour créer une musique synchronisée à un assemblement d’images. Mon amie Ariane m’a approché pour contribuer à son court documentaire qui portait un regard sur un artiste graffiti et ami de longue date connu sous le nom de KOAL. Je dois admettre que je n’ai pas pus refuser. D’abord, parce-que j’aimais le défi que ça représentait, mais surtout parce-que KOAL m’a toujours apporté la plus grande aide en collaborant à maintes reprises à rendre possible mes idées les plus loufoques. Ayant notamment participé dans le développement du artwork de mon projet 45 tours, KOAL est un artiste très généreux à qui je devais bien ces quelques heures de travail.
